Has anyone else been flat towing the Forester? The manual is referring to towing it behind a tow truck. For RV towing a manual is good to go with no restrictions. I have wired a charge line from my RV to keep forester battery charged, and use a Roadmaster 9000 braking system in the car.
When I am on this or any highway, I don't like to be behind anything I can't see around, like trucks any box trailers, and motor homes towing vehicles or cars ( sorry). If I am going to be stuck there with no possibility of change, I will sit back and relax to a point. Impatience breeds foolish decisions.

You can not flat tow(all 4 wheels on the pavement) a honda crv younger than 2014. . not sure where the above people got there info. i sell honda's for a living and work at a honda dealership. 2014 was the last year they did a 6 speed trans and in 2015 went to the cvt. look for a honda fit in a manual.that would be your best bet if you wanted a newer honda to flat tow.
